Adam Hamawi is in his final year of studying a Bachelor of Planning at Western Sydney University. Adam’s primary interests include the relationship between people and space in the ever-changing social environments of 21st Century cities. Adam has applied his theoretical knowledge in university assessments. He has developed practical skills in social research and urban design, which have been extensively applied to his chosen case study area of Guildford, NSW.  

Adam’s distinguished commitment to studies is recognised by Western Sydney University’s Peer Assisted Study Skill (PASS) faculty. Adam has facilitated and mentors a variety of Social Science and Psychology units, including The Individual in Society, Understanding Society and Working with Communities. Adam intends to continue his education by enrolling in a Master of Urban Management. Adam strongly believes in the opportunity to participate in the work placement as part of the Master’s degree will further develop his skills and prepare him for the workforce. Adam is eager to begin his professional career in a local council as a specialised social and community planner.
